The sports of badminton and squash have been played in Askamore for many years. The present clubs have 50 - 60 members, ranging in age from children in first year in secondary school up to senior members. National school children play on Friday nights during the season.
The season runs from the end of September until March. During this time there are games almost every night in Askamore Community Centre, where there is a warm fire, bar faciities and a welcome for all, players and spectators alike. A great way to pass the winter nights!
Anyone interested in joining these clubs can contact a committee member at the Community Centre any night during the season.
