History of Askamore Childcare

• In December 2001 a committee was formed with a view to looking into the possibility of a building a purpose built Childcare Centre in Askamore.
• In December 2004 we received a capital grant of €710,000
• Work began in November 2005
• Doors opened September 2006

Current status

• 50 children availing of the facilities to date
• Staffed by 7 people with plans to expand
• Centre provides both full and part time care for children of 3 months to school going age and after school.
• Fully compliant with Childcare, preschool service regulations
• Stimulating and exciting activities for inquisitive and active young minds such as arts and crafts, music and movement
