Askamore water scheme
Founded in 1964 by Fr. Felix Byrne
Goal was to supply water to 46 houses and farms from a gravity feed up Slieve Bhuí
Areas affected :- Donishall, Askamore, Brideswell, Munny & Kiltilihane
In 2002, after a meeting of all the households on the scheme it was decided that Wexford Co. Council would take over the scheme
Presently all 20 miles of piping are being upgraded
